This is the last division that is encompassed in the Softball Canada Learn to Play program.
We will introduce more of the rules, run games with real umpires and develop pitching and other skills throughout the season.
Teams will play at local parks in Surrey. Teams may also compete in tournaments at this level.
No experience necessary.
Players are more than welcome to play with friends.
Each evening with include 2 parts:
The first half is used as a practice to teach the players the rules and skills of softball through fun games and drills.
The second half is used to play a modified game. Depending on availability Umpires may be provided for games.
Practice night is Tuesdays
Game night is Thursdays
This is the first division that we have player pitchers. Coaches will also pitch after a pre-determined number of pitches.
Birth Years: 2014 & 2015
Game Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays
Times: Coaches will let players know what time to be at the park (usually around 5:45)
Game times 6:30 - 7:30
Equipment Required: Softball Cleats (soccer ones are fine), softball glove, helmet WITH CAGE and Defensive Mask
Jocks/Jills suggested for players playing catcher or pitcher
Registration Cost: $185 (house level; plus volunteer deposit)
